In our daily lives, research is necessary and important for everybody, not just the students and scientists. Research is a tool or means to build your knowledge, to facilitate your learning, to succeed in business, to disprove lies, to support truths and to seize opportunities (https://owlcation.com).
What is research?
Generally research is based on the “curiosity” that is the eagerness to learn or know. Everybody finds out the (new) facts or information due to this curiosity. To get these (new) facts or information, there is a need of systematic investigation or close and careful study. Therefore, research is a systematic investigation or close and careful study to find the (new) facts or information.
How to select the research topic or title?
It is very difficult to select the research topic for most of the people. You can easily find it in your surrounding. The information you want to know becomes the topic or title of your research. For example, you want to know that the number of viewers or clickers used C4F channel becomes increased or decreased in May 2022, that is the question or problem for you. So you have to try to answer this question or to solve this problem. This question or problem becomes the topic or title of your research, “Quantitative Analysis of Viewers or Clickers Used C4F Channel”.
How to collect data in your research?
Data means the facts or information you want to know. You can see it below (Plate 1).
Plate 1 Facts or information of C4F channel (Source: C4F Channel)
In plate 1, you can see 1K viewers, posted by Myo Kyaw Htet, posted at 6:56 AM, 40 likes and 68 comments, which are the raw data you have to collect.
How to arrange and summarize your raw data collected?
You have to arrange and categorize or group your raw data by using the appropriate table after data collection.
For example, you can see the data of C4F channel in plate 2a, 2b and 2c.
Plate 2 Data of C4F channel observed on May 1, 2022 (Source: C4F Channel)
The data observed in plate 2a, 2b and 2c can be categorized or grouped into five types (Table 1).
Table 1 Categorized or grouped data observed in plate 2a, 2b and 2c
|Posted by||Time||Number of viewers or clickers||Number of likes||Number of comments|
|1. Myo Kyaw Htet||6:56 am||1 K||40||68|
|2. Maw Neh Neh||12:16 pm||1.1 K||39||19|
|3. C4F Admin||8:15 pm||1.1 K||48||15|
Then you have to summarize your categorized or grouped data by using the appropriate formula. To summarize the data described in table 1, you can use the formula of mean or average.
To calculate the mean or average, we add up the observed values and divide by the number of them. The total observed values of viewer or clicker in table is 3.2, which is divided by their number (3), to give the mean or average of viewer or clicker used C4F channel on May 1, 2022.
(In the systematic research paper, it is essential to calculate the value of standard deviation whenever you give the value of mean or average. The reason why the value of standard deviation is shown with that of mean or average will be described in the next article.)
Thus you can summarize the data about viewers or clickers used C4F channel during the period between the first week and second week of May, 2022 (Table 2).
Table 2 Data about viewers or clickers used C4F channel during the period between the first week and second week of May, 2022

|1st week||2nd week||1st week||2nd week||1st week||2nd week|
|Sunday||1.07 K||1.47 K||42.33||54.67||34.00||*28.67|
|Monday||1.27 K||1.43 K||38.00||54.67||27.00||35.67|
|Tuesday||1.17 K||1.77 K||48.67||57.33||36.00||*27.33|
|Wednesday||1.50 K||1.57 K||61.67||67.00||73.33||*29.00|
|Thursday||1.33 K||1.50 K||49.00||59.33||54.33||*52.33|

|Mean||1.27 K||1.53 K||48.52||60.71||52.09||*40.62|
Table 2 shows the summarized data of your research. According to the summarized data shown in table 2, you can present the results of your research. You can also include the helpful figures and graphs to present the findings (data) of your research.
How to present the results of your research?
To present the results of your research, you have to analyze and interpret the data values shown in table 2. You should use the past tense when presenting your results. You can describe the results by giving your answers as follows.
1. The number of viewers or clickers used C4F channel was found to be (higher/lower) in the second week than first week of May, 2022.
2. The number of viewers or clickers used C4F channel revealed to follow the order Tuesday > Wednesday and Friday > Thursday > Sunday > Monday > Saturday during the (first/second) week of May, 2022.
3. In the second week of May, the third day (Tuesday) had the (greatest/smallest) number of viewers or clickers used C4F channel.
4. The number of likes found in C4F channel was also found to be (greater/smaller) in the second week than first week of May, 2022.
5. In the (first/second) week of May, the number of viewers or clickers used C4F channel was most prevalent with 1.77 K on Tuesday followed by 1.57 K on Wednesday and Friday, 1.50 K on Thursday, 1.47 K on Sunday, 1.43 K on Monday and 1.40 K on Saturday that revealed the smallest number of them. It may be suggested that the viewers or clickers spent a weekend (Saturday and Sunday) in their important personal activities (as they had no chance to do these activities on weekdays).
You can think of the comparative data shown in table 2 and create to present the results of your research. You can also include your suggestion with your results as in the example 5.
Then you have to continue to discuss your results by comparing your findings with those of other researchers and giving your suggestion or reason why your findings are different from those of others. Finally you have to give the conclusion of your research by making the decision about research topic.
